Carbonnieux 2010 is a Grand Cru Classé de Graves red wine from the Pessac-Léognan region of Bordeaux. The 2010 vintage in Bordeaux is legendary for its structural power and aromatic intensity, which are perfectly captured in this Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend. It displays deep notes of blackcurrants, cedar, tobacco and the signature smoky minerality associated with the gravelly soils of the estate. The tannins are firm and well-defined, providing a framework for the concentrated fruit and ensuring a long life in the cellar. Now reaching its peak of maturity, it represents a classical and refined expression of the Graves terroir.

Vinous
- (60% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot, 7% cabernet franc and 3% petit verdot; 13.5% alcohol) Very deep ruby-purple color. Raspberry, smoke and a whiff of floral red cherry on the nose. Juicy, intense and almost sweet, with a lightly minty quality to the rich red fruit flavors. Nicely delicate, lively Pessac-Leognan, with a texture that's more Burgundian than Bordeaux-like—at least at this stage of its development. The fresh finish features very good balance, smooth tannins and subtle length.
