Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

From the sensational millennium vintage, this is a delightful wine from Margaux-based Château Brane-Cantenac. A sumptuous, powerful and full-bodied blend of 55% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, it delivers lovely waves of black and red berry fruit, laced with subtle notes of truffle, tobacco and stoney minerality. Though in its optimal drinking window already, this should have at least another 5-10 years staying power.

The 2000 Brane-Cantenac, which I have tasted several times, retains those tropes of warm gravel and black truffle on the nose, although in this bottle I notice a little more red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, still quite strict and classic in style, featuring cedar and tobacco and maybe a little greenness toward the finish, but that merely lends it complexity. While this does not rank among the very greatest wines from the estate, it will continue to appeal to those with a penchant for classic claret. 13% alcohol. - Neil Martin - The 2000 Brane-Cantenac, which I have tasted several times, retains those tropes of warm gravel and black truffle on the nose, although in this bottle I notice a little more red fruit. A Distinguished Second Growth

Formerly owned by the great figures of Bordeaux wine, Lucien Lurton, Château Brane-Cantenac is a highly respected Second Growth estate in Margaux. The estate has been owned and run by Lucien’s son, Henri, since 1992. Although perceived to have gone through a lull during the 1970s and 1980s, historically, Brane-Cantenac was always regarded as the a ‘Super Second’. This reputation has only been enhanced by Henri Lurton, through the implementation of better vineyard management techniques (the entire 75ha has been certified organic since 2016) and investment in cutting-edge cellar technology (for example, optical sorting machines).

The estate grows mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (slightly more Cabernet) along with a small amount of Cabernet Franc and Carmenere. The Grand Vin of Château Brane-Cantenac is noted for its ripe tannins, excellent fruit concentration and structure, and perfumed delicacy – all characteristics of the finest wines of Margaux.
