Bourgogne Rouge Hudelot-Noellat 2015 is a regional Pinot Noir sourced from parcels located within the communes of Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny. The 2015 vintage delivered exceptional ripeness and concentration, resulting in a wine that possesses far more depth and structural integrity than a typical Bourgogne level bottling. It offers a vibrant and crunchy profile of red berries and forest floor, supported by a zippy acidity and the elegant, silken tannins synonymous with Alain Hudelot-Noellat’s house style. Winemaking focuses on minimal intervention to preserve the joyful primary fruit and the subtle mineral nuances of the limestone-heavy soils.

Bottled just before the harvest, the 2015 Bourgogne Rouge, a blend of 18 parcels all in front of Chambolle-Musigny, actually represents one-third of the total production of the domaine. It has a lovely, quite sensual red cherry and bergamot-scented bouquet that is generous and pure. The palate is rounded on the entry with fine tannin, pretty and nimble with a crisp and precise finish. This is how to do a generic red Burgundy. - Neal Martin

Straightforward, lightly bitter fruit. Transparent and lively with tannins marked at present. Light and very slightly tart. (JR)
