Founded in 1859, Louis Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociant houses in Burgundy. Its vast portfolio offers over 220 different wines from key vineyards in Chablis, the Côte d’Or, Côte Chalonnaise, the Mâconnais and Beaujolais. This particular release comes from the prestigious Grand Cru Bonnes-Mares, where Jadot owns a tiny 0.27-hectare parcel. The year 2009 witnessed a remarkable vintage in France, where wines from various regions such as Burgundy, Champagne, the Rhône, the Loire, and Alsace consistently offered exceptional quality.

Medium red. Reticent but pure nose hints at raspberry, minerals, gingerbread and forest floor. Powerfully structured and classically dry, with terrific depth to its savory blueberry, mineral and menthol flavors. This complex expression of terroir finishes with a distinctly salty impression of extract, and the structure and force for a long evolution in bottle.Stephen Tanzer1st March 2012
