Since 1829 Bollinger has been producing great Champagnes with a powerful, sophisticated and complex style. The Special Cuvée NV is 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier. Golden in colour with beautifully rich aromatic complexity, ripe fruit flavours and a subtle silky finish.

Like its rosé counterpart, the latest release of Bollinger`s NV Brut Special Cuvée is showing especially well, bursting from the glass with aromas of honeyed apples, crisp stone fruit, buttery pastry, ripe lemons and fresh walnuts. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vinous, with a deep core of beautifully ripe fruit, racy acids and a pillowy mousse, it`s a charming, characterful wine that proves that Special Cuvée is firmly back where it belongs. — William Kelley, 31st August 2022

Based on the 2019 vintage with 50% of reserve wines in the blend, the Bollinger’s Special Cuvée Brut NV is a fine-tuned assemblage of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier aged three on lees and finished with an eight grams per liter dosage. Brimming with aromas of ripe white peach, persimmon, lemon slice cookies, fresh brioche, and honey, the medium to full-bodied palate is textural and weighty with a succulent red fruit core trussed up beautifully by vivacious, racy acidity. Refreshing and focused, it finishes long and honeyed. — Sarah Mayo, 8th November 2023

We commence with the fail-safe choice of sparkler, the NV Bollinger Special Cuvée. The nose is well defined with forward, bready and slightly nutty. The palate has an irresistible fatness that those who like razor-sharp champagne might turn their nose up at, yet I enjoy its almost sensual texture and the lack of pretension.Neal Martin23rd June 2022

Bready and appley – upholds every tradition of champagne, including a good level of dosage that gives honeyed ripeness to the finish. Long, sweetly spiced finish, with yeastiness making it like a cinnamon bun. Delicious! (RH) — Richard Hemming, 15th February 2025

A Classic Grande Marque

Synonymous with sophistication and quality, Champagne Bollinger was awarded the Royal Warrant as Official Purveyor of Champagne to Queen Victoria in 1884. From special cuvées and Rosé Champagnes, to rarely seen vintages, luxurious large formats and Recently Disgorged styles, this is a wonderful House to discover. Bollinger wines even have a close association with James Bond - and rare limited editions have been released in celebration of the films from Moonraker to No Time To Die.

The Bollinger vineyard covers 179 hectares, with 85% of these Grand and Premier Cru. One of the last family-run Champagne houses in the region, Bollinger is located in the village of Aÿ, near Épernay. A number of practices are key to the Bollinger approach: the majority of grapes used in the wines have to come from the Maison's own vineyards; Pinot Noir must play a dominant role in the blend; the role of micro-oxygenation from barrel fermentation; and long periods of bottle aging (two to three times longer than required).
