Château Beauregard is one of the finest wine producers in Pomerol, with a history that dates back to the 11th century. Since 2014, the property has been jointly owned by the Moulin and Cathiard families, who have thoroughly revitalized the Château. Its grand vin from 2009 is a blend composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. One of the estate’s best vintages, in which structure and elegance stand out.

Unfussy and charming, very much in its drinking window, with spiced berry fruits. Soft through the mid palate.Jane Anson10th October 2024

An elegant, mid-weight Pomerol with sweet licorice, plum, mocha and raspberry fruit, this wine is generously endowed, with lots of silky glycerin coating the palate. I’m sure the alcohol hits 14% plus. This is more finessed than powerful Pomerol, so drink it over the next 10-15 years.Robert Parker23rd December 2011

The 2009 Beauregard has an earthy, tobacco tinged bouquet that lacks a little vigour. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, not deep or concentrated with a slightly dry finish. I would drink this in the near future. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners’ 2009 Bordeaux tasting. Neal Martin1st March 2019
