In 1999, wine entrepreneur Jean-Claude Boisset united all the vineyard holdings of his diverse négociant companies, giving rise to Domaine de la Vougeraie. With an impressive expanse of approximately 40 hectares of vineyards encompassing over 30 different appellations, including six Grand Crus, Vougeraie has firmly established itself as one of Burgundy`s preeminent estates. This village-level Beaune Blanc originates from two plots, Montée Rouge and La Maladière, where the vines have matured for nearly 30 years. The wine was meticulously aged for 16 months in oak barrels followed by a 2-month period in tanks before bottling.

Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Prémeaux, Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1999. The name was inspired by domaine’s significant vineyard holdings in the village of Vougeot, which is also Boisset’s home.

One of Burgundy’s leading domaines, Vougeraie owns about 40ha of vineyard in more than 30 different appellations of Burgundy, including the Grands Crus of Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Charmes Chambertin, Mazoyères, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne. The domaine vineyards have been managed biodynamically since 2001. The highest possible production values and strictest levels of quality control, including a state-of-the-art sorting table, are maintained for the domaine’s entire range of wines. The domaine’s general manager, Sylvie Poillot, has managed the winemaking team since Pierre Vincent departed for Domaine Leflaive.
