Etienne Sauzet Bâtard-Montrachet 2004 is a full-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Grand Cru climat of Bâtard-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Etienne Sauzet owns and manages vineyard plots in some of the most esteemed terroirs in Puligny-Montrachet and neighbouring appellations. The domaine was founded in the early 20th century by Etienne Sauzet and has been managed by several generations of the Sauzet family. This 2004 bottling hails from the Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet, where Sauzet owns a 0.14-hectare plot. "Brooding aromas of menthol, citrus skin and vanillin oak. Highly concentrated, rich and broad; at once sweet and fresh. Very long, slow-mounting finish. As rich as this is, it`s less thick than the `05, and more unyielding today. I`d give this a good eight years of cellaring." Vinous, 2006
