The Barolo Percristina Domenico Clerico 2008 is a notable representation of its terroir, originating from the Mosconi MGA in Monforte d`Alba. Domenico Clerico is recognised for his innovations in the Barolo region, with the first vintage of Percristina produced in 1995. This wine displays a deep colour and offers an evolved bouquet, hinting at dried cherry, licorice, and toasted hazelnut. The tannins are mature and well-integrated, resulting in a polished, lingering finish that reflects the wine`s complexity.

The 2008 Barolo Per Cristina is a big, dark and exuberant wine. It opens to dark color saturation and beautiful aromatic intensity. This is a wine of purpose and character. It truly stands out for the quality of the mouthfeel that possesses deep inner grace, elegance, power and length. The bouquet is slightly evolved with notes of dried cherry, licorice, white truffle and toasted hazelnut. The tannins are fine and integrated at this point, offering silky polish on the close. - Monica Larner
