Barolo Cerretta Garesio 2017 presents a complex aroma profile, featuring scents of ripe cherries, dried herbs, and earthy undertones, typical of Nebbiolo from the Cerretta vineyard. On the palate, it showcases firm tannins balanced by acidity, leading to a structured yet approachable mouthfeel. Flavors of plum and licorice emerge, accompanied by hints of smoke and leather, characteristic of the Barolo style.
The Cerretta vineyard is known for its unique microclimate, which contributes to the wine`s intensity and depth. This Barolo undergoes a traditional aging process, spent several years in oak barrels before release, allowing it to develop its distinctive character. Pairing well with hearty dishes, this wine reflects the traditional winemaking heritage of the Langhe region, embodying the uniqueness of its terroir while holding well for future aging.

Serralunga d`Alba. Grapes come from the highest part of Cerretta with full southern exposure.Just mid ruby. Subtly perfumed yet concentrated. Sweet raspberry with a hint of black tea leaves and just a shimmer of oak. Minerally too, but still a little backwards on the nose as well as palate. Cranberry and raspberry palate with a rich layer of finely chiselled, coating tannins. Supple and fresh, but closes up on the finish. Much more to come. (WS)
