GB Burlotto Barolo Cannubi 2006 is a full-bodied Nebbiolo red wine from the Piedmont region of northern Italy. This is a powerful Barolo from the renowned cru village of Cannubi, arguably the most famous hill in Italy. Burlotto Barolos are fermented with temperature control in French oak vats and are matured in large-format oak casks, also from France. On the 2006. "The 2006 Barolo Vigneto Cannubi impresses for its silky tannins and finessed, feminine personality, with more density and textural richness than the Monvigliero. Berries, crushed flowers and spices are some of the nuances that emerge from this finely-knit, classy Barolo. Despite being open and very pleasurable today, the Cannubi needs at least several years in bottle to develop the full range of its aromas and flavors. When that happens, this should be a totally sublime Barolo." Vinous, 2010
