Barolo Bussia Prunotto 2013 represents a notable expression of Nebbiolo from the renowned Barolo region of Piedmont. The wine unfolds with a complex bouquet featuring notes of ripe raspberries, dried herbs, and earthy nuances. On the palate, it displays a medium body framed by firm tannins and vibrant acidity, leading to a structured finish. Prunotto, founded in 1904 in Serralunga, has a rich history rooted in cooperative winemaking, and is currently part of the Marchesi Antinori group, furthering its legacy.

Vinous
The 2013 Barolo Bussia is elegant, restrained and polished. Here, too, the aromatics are quite lifted. Sweet tobacco, orange peel, mint, dried flowers and anise all grace the palate. This is a decidedly mid-weight Barolo that is ethereal almost to the point of being fleeting. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later.
