Barolo Brunate Le Coste Giuseppe Rinaldi 2007 exemplifies the tradition and integrity of Piedmont winemaking. Sourced from the acclaimed Brunate vineyard, this Barolo undergoes a meticulous fermentation process to develop its character. The wine presents complex aromas of dark fruit and earthy undertones, finishing with tannins that reflect its age. Giuseppe Rinaldi is known for his dedication to traditional methods, often ageing his wines in large, old oak barrels, preserving the terroir`s authenticity in each bottle.

Vinous
Moderately saturated medium red. Decadent, expressive, highly complex nose combines cherry liqueur, mocha, white pepper, sage, rosemary and cinnamon. At once silky and penetrating, with a bit less of the saline, earthy side of the 2008 and more cherry liqueur character. Finishes with substantial tannins, terrific energy and captivating lingering perfume. This seems to be in the process of shutting down today; it was bottled in April. I would not be surprised if this beauty merited an even higher score with seven or eight years of bottle aging.Stephen Tanzer1st November 2011
