Aubert UV-SL Pinot Noir 2014 showcases a distinct expression of its terroir. Crafted from a selection of both Vosne-Romanée and Calera clones, this wine reflects Mark Aubert`s commitment to meticulous vineyard management. The 2014 vintage reveals deep ruby colour and a complex bouquet, featuring brambly fruit alongside herbaceous notes. On the palate, expect a balance of richness and structure, with dark fruit flavours intertwined with subtle earthiness. Mark Aubert, known for his innovative approach, has rapidly gained recognition in California’s wine landscape.

The 2014 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is the most complete of the Pinots. Exquisite, subtle and nuanced, the UV-SL has a level of translucent and crystalline purity that separates it from the other Pinots. Scents of graphite, licorice, cherry jam, lavender and rose petal leave a lasting impression in a wine that deftly balanced aromatic intensity, pliant fruit and structure.Antonio Galloni1st February 2016

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
