Aubert UV-SL Pinot Noir 2011 is a red wine from California, crafted by renowned producer Aubert Wines, founded by Mark Aubert, a former Winemaker for Peter Michael Winery. This Pinot Noir offers aromas of red fruit, earthiness, and subtle spice. On the palate, expect flavours of cherry and plum, balanced by a medium body and integrated acidity. Aubert Wines is known for its meticulous vineyard management and small production, focusing on expressing terroir in each bottle. A worthy choice for discerning collectors.

Aubert's 2011 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is easily the most refined of the wines in this range of Pinots. Intensely perfumed and layered - but not at all heavy - the UV-SL has all its elements in perfect balance. Savory herbs, licorice, mint, plums and black cherries all come to life in the glass, but ultimately, the 2011 stands out most for its silkiness, grace and exceptional overall balance. Expressive floral notes add considerable freshness on the close. Antonio Galloni1st July 2013

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
