The Aubert UV-SL Pinot Noir 2010 reflects the meticulous winemaking philosophy of Aubert Wines, renowned for producing limited quantities of high-quality varietals. This wine presents a nuanced balance of fruit and earthiness, with notes of cherry and wild herbs. The 2010 vintage benefitted from a long growing season, allowing for full phenolic maturity. Aubert Wines, established by celebrated winemaker Mark Aubert, consistently adheres to sustainable vineyard practices, ensuring the integrity of their fruit-driven wines. Ideal for exploration by serious collectors.

The 2010 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is the richest and most expressive of these 2010 Pinots. It also shoes the best balance of aromatics, fruit, acidity and tannin. Soy, mocha, the blackest of cherries and white flowers are some of the notes that flesh out in the glass. Delicately woven layers of flavor distinguish the UV-SL. This is a striking wine in every way.

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
