Aubert UV-SL Chardonnay 2010 showcases a precise expression of California’s terroir. Sourced from the esteemed UV-SL vineyard, noted for its cool climate conducive to Chardonnay, this wine reveals a layered complexity. Aromas of green apple and citrus intertwine with subtle oak nuances, while the palate delivers a balanced acidity and mineral backbone. Aubert Wines, founded by Mark Aubert in 2000, is recognised for crafting small-batch, high-quality wines, focusing on meticulous vineyard practices. A worthy addition for serious collectors. From Aubert`s website, "We refer to this wine as the “chameleon,” as it evolves and morphs in each glass. The combination of climate, soil, and rare clones planted at UV-SL produce kaleidoscopic, site-driven nuances."

The 2010 Chardonnay UV-SL Vineyard boasts remarkable textural depth and finesse. Rich, round and seamless, the UV-SL is all about body and endless layers of flavor. An element of salinity gives a finish laced with white flowers and citrus of considerable freshness.

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
