The 2009 Aubert UV-SL Chardonnay presents aromas of ripe apricots, juicy pears, subtle floral notes and hints of tangerine. This vintage is characterised by its full body and textured mouthfeel that culminates in a creamy finish. The wine reflects the distinct terroir of the UV-SL Vineyard, known for its unique microclimate that enhances fruit concentration. Aubert winery, established by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 1999, has gained recognition for crafting limited-production wines from selected single vineyards in Sonoma, with an emphasis on quality and expression.

The 2009 Chardonnay UV-SL Vineyard emerges from the glass with rich apricots, pears, flowers, and tangerine, all of which come together in a dramatic, sweeping expression of Chardonnay. In 2009 the UV-SL has a rich, baritone register that is compelling. The aromas and flavors build effortlessly to the textured, creamy finish. Anticipated maturity. 2014-2019. - Antonio Galloni

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
