UV Pinot Noir 2023 is a Sonoma Coast wine sourced from the Ulises Valdez Vineyard, located on a low-elevation site with clay-rich soils. This Pinot Noir presents a dense and explosive profile of raspberry, boysenberry and sassafras, balanced by a precise acidity. Mark Aubert focuses on textural intensity here, resulting in a refined yet heady wine with light accents of bergamot tea and singed wood. The wine exhibits a more delicate and aromatic character than its estate-grown counterparts while maintaining the producer`s signature power.

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
