Aubert`s 2021 UV Pinot Noir bursts from the glass with notes of wild strawberries, blackberries, and red plums. The nose is elevated by a blend of fresh violets and lavender, harmonized by an earthy and subtly sweet terracotta minerality that echoes the distinctive brick-red clay soils of the vineyard. The palate boasts a tantalizing acidity and supple tannins that carry this intricate medley of aromas and flavours to a lingering finish. Best enjoyed between 2024 and 2036.

The 2021 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard is bright, punchy and super-expressive. Bright red/plum, blood orange, rose petal, lavender, spice and strong floral/savory accents add nuance throughout. The 2021 is an absolute joy to taste. The UV was done with entirely destemmed fruit, but its aromatic profile offers quite a bit of whole cluster-like character. Antonio Galloni1st August 2023

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
