A delicious Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir from Aubert`s UV site, characterised by its perfumed aromatics and textural mouthfeel. In the words of Mark Aubert himself, "The 2019 UV Pinot Noir offers a detailed bouquet of warm blackberries, strawberry powder, and kirsch with wafts of orange tea and savory nuances. The wine moves across the palate with authority and ease, framed by notes pomegranate reduction and clay soils. Ripe, velvety tannins integrate seamlessly with a concentrated core of exquisite red fruit, leading to a long and succulent finish. Suggested drinking window is 2021 through 2034."

The 2019 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard is incredibly delicate and refined. Freshly cut flowers, mint, sage, dried rose petals and blood orange infuse the UV with notable brightness and energy to match its soft curves. In the glass, the UV is nuanced and so full of complexity. The 2019 UV Pinot is one of the most elegant Pinots I have tasted from Mark Aubert. I would cellar the 2019 for a few years as it has just been bottled. Antonio Galloni1st January 2021

Aubert

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
