The 2023 Aubert Sugar Shack Estate Chardonnay is a rich, full-bodied white wine from the Rutherford sub-appellation of Napa Valley, California. This wine is made from Montrachet clone Chardonnay planted on the warmest site in the Aubert portfolio. The wine offers aromas of nectarine, Valencia orange oil and lily, developing into a palate rich with flavours of peach sorbet and apricot pâte de fruit, with a background of nutty, toasted almond nuances, and a lift of spicy grapefruit oil on the finish. Available here in magnum.

The 2023 Chardonnay Sugar Shack is redolent of apricot, chamomile, floral-infused honey, marzipan and dried flowers. Brisk acids lend energy. There's a ton of phenolic depth and savory intensity here. This builds beautifully with time in the glass. Superb. Antonio Galloni12th November 2025

Aubert

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
