Founded by Mark and Teresa Aubert two decades ago, Aubert is a boutique estate that produces wine from single-vineyard sites in Napa Valley and Sonoma. This is one of their latest releases, the Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir from the 2020 vintage. The nose suggests crushed raspberries, red cherries and strawberries, mingling with spices and orange peel. On the palate, the wine is fresh and juicy, with fine tannins and a savoury finish.

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
