The Aubert Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2016 exemplifies the craftsmanship of Mark Aubert, renowned for his exceptional single-vineyard wines. Sourced from the cool Sonoma Coast, this Chardonnay is characterised by its full-bodied profile and well-defined acidity. The nose offers aromas of lemon zest, white flowers and hints of roasted nuts, while the palate reveals flavours of ripe stone fruits, subtle spice and a whisper of minerality.

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
