The Aubert Russian River Chardonnay 2023 is a wine that exhibits the rich expressive character of the Russian River Valley appellation. The 2023 vintage benefited from a cool, late-ripening year contributing to its energy and vibrancy. On the nose it offers bright notes of citrus blossom, golden apple and a subtle hint of toasted almond. The palate is richly textured yet balanced with juicy stone fruits, lemon curd and a touch of minerality. Its vibrant acidity provides freshness leading to a long, elegant finish with lingering nuances of vanilla and baking spices. Available here in magnum format.

Aubert

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
