Aubert is a boutique estate that produces Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines from single-vineyard sites in Napa Valley and Sonoma. Founded by husband-and-wife Mark and Teresa Aubert in 1999, it is regarded to be one of California’s cult wine labels.

The Reuling Vineyard was initially developed by Mark Aubert and Peter Michael Winery and has become known as one of the premier sites for Chardonnay in Forestville.

This vintage offers a complex interplay of ripe citrus, crisp green apple, and subtle oak influences, showcasing the vineyard`s signature minerality. The growing season contributed to a balanced acidity, perfectly framing the wine’s expressive profile. Only a limited number of cases were produced, making it a noteworthy selection for serious collectors.

The 2010 Chardonnay Reuling Vineyard is another big, big wine bursting with fruit. Exuberant from start to finish it caresses the palate from start to finish. This is a decidedly broad shouldered, expansive wine loaded with power and energy. White flowers, apricots and spices add lift on the finish. The 2010 Reuling bears more than a passing resemblance to some of the greatest white Burgundies, but with that extra volume that is typical of California Chardonnay.

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
