Aubert is a boutique estate that produces Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines from single-vineyard sites in Napa Valley and Sonoma. Founded by husband-and-wife Mark and Teresa Aubert in 1999, it is regarded to be one of California’s cult wine labels.

Lauren was the first estate Chardonnay produced by legendary winemaker, Mark Aubert. The vineyard is located in the “golden hills” of Forestville, Sonoma County, and typically produces the most concentrated wine in the range.

This vintage showcases a distinct minerality alongside flavours of citrus and stone fruit. With its natural acidity and complexity, the wine reflects the precision of minimal intervention winemaking practices. Expect to explore its evolving character with time.

One of the highlights in this range, the 2017 Chardonnay Lauren Vineyard is also the most gracious and lifted of Mark Aubert's Chardonnays. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint, chalk and white pepper give the wine lift and perfume. Delicate, understated and classy to the core, the Lauren has it all. The 2017 is a stunning wine. It's as simple as that. Don't miss it. Antonio Galloni1st May 2019

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
