Aubert Lauren Chardonnay 2014 is a white wine from the Sonoma Coast in California. Sourced from Mark Aubert`s estate vineyard, this wine is made from the Mount Eden clone and is often the most concentrated and powerful in the lineup. The 2014 vintage produced a wine of huge extract and richness, showing notes of honeyed peach, white flowers and a distinct stony minerality. It was fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in French oak, resulting in a full-throttle palate that is balanced by a zesty, driving acidity.

The 2014 Chardonnay Lauren is once again the star in this range. I have done this tasting enough times not to be surprised. The layers and dynamic energy in this wine are just unreal. There's a lot of everything, too much of nothing and simply fabulous balance. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint, tangerine oil and chamomile build beautifully. Superb.Antonio Galloni1st January 2025

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
