The Aubert Eastside Russian River Chardonnay Magnum 2014 is a representation of meticulous craftsmanship from renowned winemaker Mark Aubert, who has an exceptional understanding of vineyard nuances. This Magnum features aromas of lemon zest, ripe pear, and subtle toasty oak, presenting a balanced profile with underlying mineral notes. The polished structure and noteworthy acidity suggest ageworthiness, inviting contemplation. Sourced from vineyards that benefit from cool coastal breezes, the wine reflects the complexities of the region`s terroir. Suitable for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

The 2014 Chardonnay Eastside Vineyard is a potent wine. Rich and ample, with notable depth, the 2014 marries vibrancy with richness. There's a still a touch of reduction this wine showed in the early going that has probably helped it age. Lemon confit, chamomile, marzipan and tropical overtones all jump from the glass. The 2014 has not lost its structure, as it's still very grippy today. Antonio Galloni1st January 2025

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
