The Aubert Eastside Russian River Chardonnay 2023 is a single-vineyard wine from a warm vineyard site in the Russian River Valley of California. This wine is produced from Montrachet clone Chardonnay planted in rocky, gravelly soils that encourage concentration and mineral definition. This medium to full-bodied Chardonnay presents an aromatic profile that features bright, vibrant scents of fresh limes, green apples and lemon drops, which lead into richer notes of peach, candied citrus zest and orange. Its satiny texture is beautifully balanced by zesty, vibrant acidity, promising a long and graceful life in the cellar.

The 2023 Chardonnay Eastside Vineyard comes across as a bit reticent today. Medium in body and very aromatic, the 2023 is still coming out of its shell. Apricot, honey, dried white flowers, marzipan, crushed rocks and hazelnut emerge with a bit of coaxing. Time in the glass softens the contours nicely. Antonio Galloni12th November 2025

Aubert

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
