The Aubert Eastside Russian River Chardonnay 2012 is a notable expression of the varietal from California`s renowned Russian River Valley. Crafted by Aubert Wines, a producer recognised for its meticulous attention to vineyard sites, this vintage offers a blend of ripe fruit and mineral qualities. Its medium-bodied structure reveals notes of pear and apple, supported by subtle oak influence. This Chardonnay reflects the unique terroir of the region, showcasing the balance between richness and acidity typical of the area’s climate.

The 2012 Chardonnay Eastside is a heady, exotic wine. Tropical fruit, orange peel, apricot and floral-infused honey run through this extroverted Chardonnay. All the elements are so well balanced. A touch of reduction on the finish adds complexity and attractive freshness.Antonio Galloni9th May 2024

Aubert

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
