Aubert CIX Estate Pinot Noir 2023 is a single-vineyard Sonoma Coast bottling from Mark Aubert`s estate vineyard, situated on a high-elevation site with white volcanic soils. This vintage offers a savoury profile dominated by dried herbs, blood orange and crushed flowers, underpinned by a chalky minerality. Winemaking involves sustainable farming and fermentation with indigenous yeasts to preserve the site`s exotic aromatics and structural depth. The palate carries significant concentration with finely grained tannins and a refreshing acidity that marks this as one of the most savoury and complex entries in the 2023 portfolio.

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
