Aubert CIX Estate Chardonnay Magnum 2014 is crafted from meticulously tended vineyards boasting Goldridge soils. Renowned for their precision in winemaking, Aubert uses a Montrachet clone to produce this full-bodied Chardonnay. The 2014 vintage reveals a complex profile with notes of wet gravel, apple blossom, caramelised citrus, and ripe stone fruits. Its structure offers depth, supported by a subtle glycerin quality, making it a multifaceted representation of the CIX Estate`s commitment to excellence in viticulture.

The 2014 Chardonnay CIX Estate is a sensual, delicate wine. It has aged well but also appears to be at its first plateau of maturity. Pear, white flowers, mint, tangerine oil and spice build gently in the glass. This is so refined. Antonio Galloni1st January 2025

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
