The Aubert CIX Estate Chardonnay is a flagship single-vineyard bottling from the Sonoma Coast. Named for its original parcel number 109, this wine is highly regarded for its textural richness and complexity. Sourced from the cool CIX Estate vineyard and planted with the renowned Montrachet clone on Goldridge soils, the wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged in new French oak, resulting in a rich, full-bodied profile.

The 2015 Chardonnay CIX Estate is another wine that has aged impeccably. Today, the CIX comes across as quite powerful, almost tannic, in feel. CIX is often a bit more lush, but the 2015 is built on intensity, structure and savory complexity. This finishes with great persistence. Antonio Galloni6th November 2025

Sublime Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Aubert was founded by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 2000, located on the famous Silverado trail in Calistoga. Before he and his partner opened Aubert, Mark had gained experience at the Peter Michael Winery and Colgin Cellars and also made wine at a 'custom crush' facility in California. Aubert have some proprietary vineyards, around three and half acres in Sonoma, which they bottle under the 'UV' label. The remainder of the fruit is sourced from selected vineyards across Sonoma and Napa.

In the world of wine, Aubert is really a byword for world-class single vineyard or single block Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyards they source from represent a mix of terroirs and include some old vines as well as some recent plantings. What remains consistent through all these bottlings is the preservation of fruit character and an extreme obsession with quality.
