Ardnamurchan is a young, independently-minded Highland distillery on the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula, built to run on renewable power and known for producing both peated and unpeated spirit. This single first-fill bourbon barrel showcases the distillery`s typically robust, coastal style. expect vanilla and honeyed cask sweetness wrapping around notes of bonfire smoke, brine and green fruit. As a one-off cask bottling, character will vary from the standard range, making it an interesting choice for collectors keen to explore Ardnamurchan beyond its core releases.

An Innovative New Distillery
One of the newest distilleries in Scotland, owned by Adelphi - famous for their excellent range of independently bottled whiskies. Ardnamurchan is a modern distillery in every sense - power comes in part from a hydro-electric generator, hot water is provided via a biomass boiler while any waste products from the distillery is either converted into animal feed or crop fertiliser.
The team produce both peated and unpeated whiskies, initially focussing on a highly successful run of limited edition bottlings while a core range is developed. The distillery manager is Fraser Hughes, formally of Bowmore.
