Duty Charges

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Aberlour 12 Year Old 2000 is a Speyside single malt bottled by Hunter Laing as part of the Old Malt Cask series, presented in a 20cl format. Matured in a single cask for 12 years, this whisky was bottled at the signature 50% ABV of the series. The nose is expressive, with notes of ripe orchard fruits, honey and a touch of sweet oak. On the palate, the spirit is concentrated and oily, displaying flavours of vanilla cream, apple pie and a subtle herbal edge. The finish is long and warming, with a persistent spice that adds structural depth. This small-format bottling offers a precise look at the Aberlour spirit without the blending associated with the core 12-year-old release.

A Bold Highlander

Aberlour's whisky production begins with the sourcing of the highest quality barley, which is malted on site and then milled to create a fine grist. This grist is mixed with hot water from the nearby natural springs, the wort is then fermented using the distillery's own unique strain of yeast, before being distilled in copper pot stills.

The distillery uses a combination of traditional and modern maturation techniques to create their signature whiskies. The whisky is initially matured in oak casks that have previously held Sherry, Bourbon, or other wines or spirits. The casks are then transferred to Aberlour's on-site warehouses, where the whisky is left to mature for several years in the cool, damp Highland air.

Aberlour's commitment to traditional whisky-making techniques is evident in every aspect of their production process. The distillery's cooperage is staffed by skilled craftsmen who create and repair the casks used to mature the whisky, while the distillery's malting floors are still in use today, allowing visitors to see the barley as it undergoes the malting process.
