Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Boudots

Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France

Aux Boudots – sometimes referred to as Les Boudots – is one of the finest premier cru vineyard sites within the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation in the Côte de Nuits. It lies just below the similarly prized vineyard of Aux Malconsorts and just above the climat of Aux Cras.

Aux Boudots' relatively shallow, gravelly clay-limestone soils are more or less contiguous with those of Aux Malconsorts, meaning there is often a striking similarity between the wines of these vineyards.

Aux Boudots' northerly location bordering Vosne-Romanée confers an extra level of finesse on the Pinot Noirs it produces; to many Burgundy lovers, they have more in common with Vosne than Nuits-Saint-Georges. They are powerful yet finely structured, with profound and layered dark, spiced fruits.
