The first plantings at the historic Nyetimer Estate in Sussex were made in 1988 when Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier were established in the chalky soils of the South Downs with a view to emulating the famous wines of Champagne. The last 30 years since those initial root-stocks were laid down has seem the team at Nyetimber slowly establish themselves as one of the world's premier producers of fine sparkling wine, outshining some of the world's greatest Champagnes at many blind tastings.
We are delighted to welcome Julian Kirk to Hedonism to present this fantastic evening. Julien has been with Nyetimber for over six years & brings with him his wealth of knowledge & experience working in one of the UK's most exciting producers of fine sparkling wine.
Guests will be treated to eight different bottlings of Nyetimber including Nyetimber Classic Cuvée, Tillington Vintage 2013, Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Blancs 2007 from magnum, 1086 2009, 1086 Rosé 2010 & Nyetimber Demi-Sec.

Jonathan Maltus Wines
Tuesday, 19th February 2019, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Hosted by Jonathan Maltus
Jonathan Maltus divides his time between Bordeaux & California. In France, Jonathan makes a selection of fine St-Emilion including the superb Le Dome, made using fruit from a single vineyard close to Château Angelus; Le Carré, another single vineyard which was purchased from Château Canon & Les Astéries, a so-called 'micro-cuvee' made in miniscule quantities.
Jonathan makes three further single vineyard wines in the USA under the banner "World's End". Stir It Up is a Napa Cabernet produced with fruit from Stagecoach vineyard, just above St Helena while Crossfire is another Napa Cabernet made from grapes from the famous Georges III vineyard in Rutherford AVA.
We are thrilled have Jonathan himself to the store to host this tasting. Guests will enjoy seven wines from both Bordeaux & California including Teyssier 2015, Laforge 2011, Astéries 2016, Vieux Château Mazerat 2015, Le Dôme 2015, Rocksteady 2014 & Le Nardian 2016.
This is set to be a fascinating insight into the art of winemaking with a truly exceptional vigneron - we hope you can join us.
Tickets for this tasting are £50, fully redeemable against any purchase of Jonathan's wines on the evening.
Wednesday, 27th February 2019, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Hosted by Scott Adamson
It is thought that whisky has been produced on the Tomatin site since the 1500s, but officially the distillery was established only in the very late 19th century. As with many Scottish distilleries, Tomatin had historically focused on selling their whisky to be used in the production of blended Scotch. Recently however, they have started to bottle many superb old whiskies from their extensive cask library & even began experimenting with new styles & production techniques (see their superb peated single malt Cu Bocan).
We are delighted to welcome Tomatin's Scott Adamson to Hedonism to present this tasting. Scott will guide guests through a tasting of six different single malts from Tomatin, taking a close look at this superb & under-rated Speysider!
Drams to be enjoyed include Legacy, 12 year old, 14 year old, 18 year old, 30 year old & 36 year old.
Tickets for this event are £25, redeemable against any purchase of Tomatin whiskies on the evening of the tasting.
Thursday, 28th February 2019, 6.30 - 8.30pm
Hosted by Katya Kurtbek
PerUs produced their first vintage in 2013 in the form of a tiny 30 case production & while the number of cases they produce has grown since then the extreme focus on quality of fruit & winemaking has not wavered. Taking their cue from the finest wines of Bordeaux, PerUs has been lauded not only by critics, but also by sommeliers & top chefs worldwide - the wine is currently on the list at Thomas Keller's French Laundry in Yountville.
Winemaker Russell Bevan has applied his considerable knowledge & experience to create a range of bold wines using some of the grapes available in California. PerUs currently work with three very different vineyards - Tench, Sugarloaf Mountain & Edcora.
Tench is situated in the Oakville AVA & shares a fence line with the legendary Screaming Eagle vineyard, Sugarloaf Mountain's high altitude & cooling mists allow for slow ripening & a marked purity of fruit while the Cabernet grapes from Edcora are marked by their seductive aromatics.
PerUs' own Katya Kurtbek will host the tasting, guiding guests through a flight of five wines showcasing the concentration, balance & elegance of the PerUs range. Wines to be tasted include Janeen 2016, Kyla 2015 & 2016, Armaan 2016 & Veena 2016.
Tickets for this tasting are £100 with £50 redeemable against any purchase of PerUs wines on the evening.
