Duty Charges

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Yamazaki Puncheon (2020 Release) is a single malt whisky matured in 480-litre American oak puncheons coopered by Suntory. These casks are significantly larger than standard 230-litre hogsheads, which reduces the liquid-to-wood contact and results in a slower, more delicate maturation. Bottled at 48% ABV as part of the five-bottle Tsukuriwake 2020 Edition, this expression is designed to showcase the `backbone` of the Yamazaki spirit. It has a pale gold colour and a nose featuring green apple, vanilla and acacia honey. The palate is soft and mellow, offering notes of butterscotch and mild maltiness, followed by a dry finish with a hint of oak bitterness and light sweetness.

Japan's First Malt Whisky Distillery

Yamazaki was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii and located in the Vale of Yamazaki, between Osaka and Kyoto, an area chosen for it's water supply and favourable maturation climate. Torii was already established as an importer of fine wine from European and was keen to move into the world of spirits. The setup of the distillery was aided by another soon-to-be titan of Japanese whisky - Masataka Takesuru, who went on to establish Nikka. Over the next 60 years, Yamazaki produced a number of successful blended whiskies, notably Shirofuda and Kakubin, but it wasn't until 1984 that the first ever single malt was released.

The 1990s saw the development of many of the Yamazaki bottlings that have made the distillery world famous - the 10 Year Old, 18 Year Old and 25 Year Old. Limited edition releases fly off the shelves and Yamazaki is now firmly established not only as one of Japan's greatest distilleries, but one of the world's greatest. The distillery has seen a number of refurbishments and expansions over the years and now operations 12 stills allowing them to produce over six millions litres a year.
