Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Distilled and bottled by the Yamazaki Distillery, this rare single cask release matured in a Mizunara butt (cask no. 6B0021) showcases the harmonious relationship between Yamazaki`s refined house style and Japan`s native oak. Presented in its original carton, with a clean label and level into the neck.

The nose is crisp and vibrantly aromatic—classic Mizunara. Fresh mint, herbal complexity, and resinous oak meet with an almost Riesling-like minerality, reminiscent of Trimbach’s Clos Ste Hune. Add a splash of water, and it opens beautifully into waves of menthol, eucalyptus, and Mediterranean herb gardens.

On the palate, it’s sappy, vibrant, and deeply herbal—Chartreuse, genepy, wormwood, and verbena all appear in elegant succession. While clearly oak-forward, the oils and resins drawn from Mizunara (Quercus mongolica) impart a freshness and finesse that is unmistakably Japanese in character.

Japan's First Malt Whisky Distillery

Yamazaki was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii and located in the Vale of Yamazaki, between Osaka and Kyoto, an area chosen for it's water supply and favourable maturation climate. Torii was already established as an importer of fine wine from European and was keen to move into the world of spirits. The setup of the distillery was aided by another soon-to-be titan of Japanese whisky - Masataka Takesuru, who went on to establish Nikka. Over the next 60 years, Yamazaki produced a number of successful blended whiskies, notably Shirofuda and Kakubin, but it wasn't until 1984 that the first ever single malt was released.

The 1990s saw the development of many of the Yamazaki bottlings that have made the distillery world famous - the 10 Year Old, 18 Year Old and 25 Year Old. Limited edition releases fly off the shelves and Yamazaki is now firmly established not only as one of Japan's greatest distilleries, but one of the world's greatest. The distillery has seen a number of refurbishments and expansions over the years and now operations 12 stills allowing them to produce over six millions litres a year.
