Château d’Yquem is often considered as the greatest sweet wine producer in the world, however, they also make a fine dry white known as Ygrec de Yquem. This is a deliciously intriguing wine composed of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
The 2019 vintage was characterised by its perfect balance between richness and freshness for the white wines. It is distinctive in its complex aromas of wax, white flower blossom and sea spray, combined with more classical notes of lemongrass and citrus.

The 2019 Y de Yquem has an attractive nose with citrus peel and white tea. Touches of crushed stone develop with time. The palate is well-balanced with fine delineation, just a little oaky at the moment but there is sufficient fruit to soak that up, so afford this a couple of years in bottle.
