Benjamin Leroux Vougeot Clos Village 2015 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Vougeot appellation of the Côte de Beaune. A former manager of the prestigious Pommard estate Domaine du Comte Armand, Benjamin Leroux is a first-generation winemaker who launched his own label in 2007. Since then, his hand-crafted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay cuvées from top-tier appellations in Burgundy have become highly sought-after across the world. This release comes from the lieu-dit ‘Clos de Village’, situated on the border with Vosne-Romanée. Leroux acquired a tiny parcel here in 2011 and it turned out to be one of his favourite village cuvées. "The 2015 Vougeot Clos du Village, which is completely de-stemmed, has a generous bouquet with raspberry preserve, crushed strawberry and rose petal scents - harmonious and quite vigorous. The palate is medium-bodied with very good concentration, voluminous in the mouth, red berry fruit, marmalade and a touch of spice, great substance matched with harmony on the finish. This comes recommended." Neal Martin, 2016
