The Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots Prieuré-Roch 2015 is a 100% Pinot Noir wine from a specific 1.02-hectare plot within the esteemed Les Suchots Premier Cru vineyard, located between Romanée-Saint-Vivant and Échezeaux. This wine is crafted under the influence of Henri-Frédéric Roch, co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, known for his commitment to biodynamic practices. The 2015 vintage experienced a warm growing season, resulting in concentrated fruit character and structure. Expect layers of dark fruit, floral notes, and a complex earthiness, indicative of the vineyard’s terroir and meticulous winemaking methods.

Prieure Roch

A Burgundian Titan

Founded in 1988 by Henri-Frédéric Roch, whose family are part-owners of the famous Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Prieure Roch produce wine from vineyard parcels in communes as diverse as Ladoix, Chambertin, Vosne Romanée and Savigny Les Beune. Farming of the vineyards is done to organic standards, veering towards full biodynamics in some instances and cellar techniques are strictly traditional - vinified in large wooden vats, manual punching down and without the use of sulphur.

Wines are kept in barrel for 12-24 months before bottling, although some experiments with extended ageing have taken place - most notably in 2002. These are elegant wines with the ripeness and poise that one would expect from a family that also produce arguable some of the world's great Pinot Noir.
