`Louis Jadot Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 2010 is a mature Burgundy 1er Cru Pinot Noir from the hallowed appellation of Vosne-Romanée in the Côte de Nuits. The climat of Les Suchots is the largest in the appellation and separates the Grands Crus of Echézeaux and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. It is considered by many aficionados to be a `superior` 1er Cru. "Very discreet wood sets off exuberantly spicy aromas of plum, cassis and black raspberry liqueur. There is an ultra-sophisticated mouth feel to the silky-textured medium-bodied flavours that are blessed with so much extract that they culminate in an incredibly suave yet balanced finish that is built to age. Outstanding." Burghound, 2013

Deep ruby. Rather light nose but with lots of rich fruit. Just a little dull. Does the business but without enormous flair. (JR)Jancis Robinson18th November 2011
Vinous
The 2010 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots boasts a gorgeous, centered core of fruit that is remarkable for its sheer vibrancy and clarity. Plums, black cherries, spices and menthol are some of the many nuances that flesh out in the glass. The finish is full of Suchots character in its rich tapestry of aromas and flavors. This is a kaleidoscopic wine full of personality. I loved it. Antonio Galloni1st February 2012
