Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Bouchard Père et Fils Volnay Taillepieds 2002 is a mature 1er Cru Burgundy Pinot Noir from the Côte de Beaune. Taillepieds is a 7.1ha vineyard on the southwestern side of the Volnay appellation and is characterised by shallow silty limestone soil with a stony sub-soil. The terroir here lends itself to the production of dense, mineral, long-aged Pinot Noir. "There is still a touch of wood discernible on the all but fully mature nose that reflects plenty of earth, spice and floral elements on the dark berry fruit and plum suffused aromas. There is lovely verve and intensity to the stony medium-bodied flavours that possess very good delineation on the balanced and beautifully persistent finish that displays a touch of austerity. While there is still some tannin lurking in the background this is close enough to its peak that it could be enjoyed now. I should note that that if your preference runs to aged burgs that display secondary aromas then another 5 to 8 years of cellaring will be necessary." Burghound, 2015

Timeless legacy in Burgundy’s heart

Established in 1731, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest and largest wine estates in the Côte d’Or. In 1995, the estate was acquired by the Henriot family, whose portfolio also includes William Fèvre, Beaux Frères, Château de Poncié and Champagne Henriot. Bouchard boasts vineyard holdings totalling approximately 130 hectares, including 74ha of Premiers Crus and 12ha of Grand Crus, with as many as 450 different individual plots. While the maison’s vast mosaic of holdings are weighted towards the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits is also a major focus.

The maison’s original vineyard was purchased by Joseph Bouchard in Volnay Les Caillerets in 1775. Not long after Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus followed. Now one of four Bouchard monopole vineyards, Beaune Grèves Vignes de l’Enfant Jésus was once owned by the Carmelite order of nuns and is the source of Bouchard’s flagship wine. Bouchard’s extensive suite of wines is produced and aged at the state-of-the-art, gravity-fed Cuverie Saint Vincent in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Once bottled, the wines are stored beneath the historic Château de Beaune, built in the 15th century by King Louis XI and purchased by Bernard Bouchard in 1820.

With almost 300 years of savoir-faire, from its unrivalled multiplicity of terroirs, Bouchard stands as one of the most eminent names in Burgundy winemaking.
