The Victoria Torres Pecis Lalo 2021 is an intriguing white wine from the volcanic island of La Palma in the Canary Islands, crafted solely from the indigenous Listán Blanco grape. Produced from very old, ungrafted vines, this wine reflects the commitment of Victoria Torres Pecis to preserving ancient viticultural practices. The 2021 vintage offers notes of citrus, white flowers, and a subtle mineral character, influenced by the volcanic soils. The wine`s bright acidity and savoury texture create a distinctive profile, highlighting the unique terroir of La Palma’s challenging landscape.

The 2021 Lalo - Chupadero is a new red, a collaboration with a grower called Lalo. It`s produced with equal parts Listán Negro and Negramoll and a little Listán Prieto from a dry-farmed vineyard planted at 1,400 meters in altitude in the village of Puntagorda on clay soils that suffer from the lack of water. In 2021, they only picked 900 kilos—from a place that should deliver 6,000! The wine is perfumed, elegant and light, ethereal and characterful, with a balanced and fine-grained palate with a fine texture. The full clusters fermented together, and the wine matured in well-seasoned, used casks. 1,056 bottles produced.
