Robert Parker
This is a soft, simple, one-dimensional wine that was made before proprietor Christine Valette began to take Troplong-Mondot to the heights of the Bordeaux hierarchy. The soft, herbal, pleasant 1982`s fruit is beginning to dry out. The acidity, tannin, and alcohol are starting to dominate. Drink it up. Vintages since 1986 have been another animal altogether, with magnificent wines produced in 1988, 1989, 1990, 1993, and 1994. Tasted 3 times since bottling with consistent notes. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.
