Tronquoy Lalande 2005 is a notable red wine from the Saint-Estèphe appellation in Bordeaux, primarily composed of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller inclusions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The estate, owned by the Bouygues family since 2006, benefits from their investment and expertise in modern viticulture. The 2005 vintage is characterised by rich fruit concentration and robust structure, revealing notes of dark berries, earth, and spice. Its firm tannins indicate strong aging potential. This wine provides a significant representation of the Saint-Estèphe terroir, showcasing its complexity and heritage.

Very dark and blackish. Quite fragrant. Good lift and vivacity and rather sophisticated winemaking. Dry finish. Very true to St-Estèphe though maybe not the deepest. (JR)
