Tissot Vin Jaune Les Bruyeres 12 Ans en Futs 2011 is a single-vineyard Vin Jaune from the Les Bruyères vineyard in the Jura region, a site known for its grey marl soils. This Savagnin-based oxidative wine was aged for 12 years under a veil of yeast, far exceeding the appellation`s minimum. The 2011 vintage, a warm year in the Jura, produced a wine of significant concentration and power. It presents a profile of dried apricots, walnuts, curry spice and a salty, mineral finish, with a structure that is both powerful and refined.

This is a limited bottling of a 2011 Les Bruyères Vin Jaune 12 Years of Age. It`s a blend of three barrels in a medium cellar (he has cooler and wetter but also warmer and drier ones) and three barriques in a very warm cellar, where the evolution of the wine is faster and there`s more concentration from evaporation. This is around 18.5% alcohol, powerful and full-bodied, peaty and smoky, with lots of iodine. It showcases the classical Trias soils in the shape of a large wine, powerful and pungent, nuttier and with a big impact on your palate. Definitely different...
