Distilled in 1953 and bottled in 2003 by Adelphi from cask number 1668, this 50-year-old single malt is rumoured to be from Glenfarclas distillery. The whisky has a pronounced herbal nose, plus hints of orange, plums and black currants. The palate opens to spicy notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and pepper and there is some oak too. The finish is long, smooth and delicate.
